I will be forever disgruntled that I got my dad’s legs instead of my mom’s. She still looks amazing in skirts and dresses.

My mom’s ambition is to be one of those 85-year-old athletes. She rides her exercise bike something like eleventy billion miles a week. Woman looks GOOD.

“Hopeless romantic” means “I want you to fawn all over me while I flex the biceps I think are impressive and say inane shit and maybe give you a bouquet once in a while.” You’re not a cynic.

My first boyfriend was a self-described hopeless romantic, and he learned not to write poetry for me after he realized that I, as a pretty serious writing major, would have to struggle to restrain my impulse to workshop it. So…yeah, this seems accurate.

The only guys I know that have described themselves as “hopeless romantics” are the ones that think that superficial acts are reason enough to have a girl like them. They are also usually the guys that can’t hold/get girlfriends as a result.

You are, as usual, right. I generally feel like such guys would have no idea what they’re getting into with me. And besides…I don’t want to be the girl that they decided was it because I showed up at the right time, you know? “Hopeless romantic” just makes me think that you aren’t really seeing me.
